This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops, or to run a small business in these sectors.

This qualification is delivered as Apprenticeship & Traineeship delivery  in ACT only.

Career pathway

SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery provides you the career pathways to a variety of Hospitality enterprises as a Kitchen Manager, Owner Operator, Qualified Cook or Commis Chef etc.

Pathways from the qualification

Upon successful completion of this qualification, the graduate learner may pursue SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management respectively.

This qualification is delivered as Apprenticeship & Traineeship delivery  in ACT only.

Duration:

This qualification is delivered in an approved work place over 24 months duration.

AAAS ‘s Training and Assessment Strategy is developed in consultation with the employer groups to ensure the training meets the industry requirements.

In doing so, the required “Amount of Training” for this qualification are analysed and calculated to 10-15 hours per week for each learner/target groups over 24 months delivery. We believe this amount of training is enough to allow you to practise new skills and knowledge before you are assessed.

Fees may be paid in instalments through AAAS flexible payment plan. Following your course commencement, any instalments (not more than $1000) are collected as per your course progression at any given time.

Total course fees includes all study materials, training and assessment services.
