This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge to assist an organisation to improve cyber threat awareness and protect against cyber risk across a broad range of industries.

BSBXCS302   Identify and report online security threats

BSBXCS303   Securely manage personally identifiable information and workplace information

BSBXCS402   Promote workplace cybersecurity awareness and best practices

The units provide credit towards qualifications in the BSB Business Services Training Packages

This skill set applies to those working in a broad range of industries who as part of their job role engage in cyber security threat assessments and protection against cyber security risk.

This skill set is subsidised by Summer Skills Program under NSW Smart and Skilled Program

  • Must meet Smart and Skilled eligibility guidelines, which are:
    • live or work in NSW
    • be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or a humanitarian visa holder
    • have left school

    AND be either:

    • a 2021 school leaver, 16 years of age or over, or
    • Other young people, aged 16 – 24, and not at school
